 Brotherhood Times - Edition 1, Saturday 2nd 06

Greetings! Welcome to the first edition of the Brotherhood Times!

After long hours languishing in Edgeville dungeon, fending off the Blue Dragons for their 'Oh so precious' bones, slicing away at Yew trees in the non-existent hope that one day i'll reach the level to fletch them, and of course dragging myself out into the desert now and then to dust off the old ancients staff, i have decided to start up a weekly/monthly/when there's anything worth writing about Brotherhood paper!

And very aptly i eventually struck on 'The Brotherhood Times' as a suitable pseudonym for what will be in reality merely a well researched editorial rant. But don't let me delude you readers, it's not although i've got a team of highly training journalists scurrying round in my wake (well not yet at least); i am infact presently just writing Gielnor as i see it. For example, why's the other woodcutters tree always faster? Why do the easy quests take twice as long as the hard ones? And why in Zaros's name don't Jagex bring back Zaros?

Obviously i won't be providing the actual answers to any of these ridiculously farfetched questions, but i'll be asking them all the same. So you could call it 'The World according to Istar', but i wouldn't. As i'd undoubtly end up with huge limitations, along with all the other ridiculous titles i skimmed through originally. You might see what i mean by 'ridiculous' when i mention a few of the names i considered, 'The Gielnor Globetrailer', 'The Legend's Litography' and the truely distasteful 'Wilderness Weekly'.

Yes, when i read those through i felt like vomiting as well. From this stand-point i decided i'd have to water-down the titles a little, nothing quite so racy, but still practical and eye-catching. Names such as 'The Daily Hood', 'The BoZ Telegraph, and 'The News of the Brotherhood' all leaped to mind; but none seemed to have any real feeling, they were all mundane, i needed something that was slightly sensible but still had a little p-nash.

Eventually i just gave up though, said 'to hell with it!' and snatched up 'Brotherhood Times' before i started having second thoughts about that too.

Name calling aside however, alot of stuff beyond my inner bickering has been happening as well this week. Those of us who are familiar with the Myreque and their struggle will be pleased to hear that Veliaf and the gang have finally got their act together and have plans on entering the Sanguinesti region itself! Here's hoping for a clip of Lord Drakan while their at it! But beware! Apparently Jagex have added another of their bizare twists so ony those with more than average agility will be able to master the on-going quest series this time round!

On top of all this it looks like a new village has suddenly appeared on the map, Witchhaven! Odd that no ones ever noticed it before, but Jagex work in mysterious ways their wonders to perform. As if we didn't have enough to deal with...
